We are the football club of the University of Melbourne, we provide opportunities
to compete in amateur football in Melbourne Australia at a variety of levels.
1. We encourage students of the University of Melbourne, both men and women, to participate in Australian
Football within the Club.
2. We promote and to participate in Australian University Sport competitions.
3. We sponsor teams in the Victorian Amateur Football Association and in such other football
associations as may be approved by Melbourne University Sport.
4. We foster general interest in and provide facilities for the conduct of Australian Football.
Joining us is a base for your sporting and life success.
We encourage students of the University of Melbourne to participate in Australian Football within the Club.
We promote and facilitate participation in Australian University Sport and Intervarsity competitions in collaboration with Melbourne University Sport.
We sponsor teams in approved sports associations including the VAFA and VFL - Women.
We foster general interest in and provide facilities for playing of Australian Football.

So while you will not find fixtures, scores, goalkickers and the like here, for matters of policy and governance together with items of a general nature you are at the right place. We welcome your enquiries and this is the entry point for contact with our Board of Management. A contact form can be found further down on this page whatever your interest is.

Founded in 1859, we are the third oldest Australian Rules Football Club behind Melbourne and Geelong.
The VAFA is the largest senior football competition in Australia with in excess of 12,000 registered players. The Blacks and Blues have played in the VAFA since 1921.
